Mashiah Foundation
Nigerians afflicted with HIV/AIDS are finding hope in the midst of this devastating disease which is ravaging the continent of Africa. Mashiah Foundation offers hope by sharing the love of Jesus through care and support for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. These women and their children, along with other orphans benefit from this ministry. MF provides medical care, home-based care, school fees for orphans and accommodation for homeless HIV/AIDS widows and orphans, and vocational training. Bezer Home is the center of activity for the ministry where they accommodate widows and orphans. There are generally 30-40 women and children being housed there when they cannot live on their own. Bezer Home also houses the sewing program which was started in 2004. This program has been remarkably empowering as the women have learned to sew and produce beautiful products. The money they earn has enabled them to be self-sufficient, providing for their own housing and even helping others in the process.
